The night does not hide …

Pierre Soulage tells how, as a child, he drew snowflakes by making black dots on a blank sheet ... The blackness of the point revealed the whiteness of the page.

The night space draws our attention and reveals our diurnal impatience to see things, immediately visible and understandable.

In the dark we see no less, we see differently, and further.

To see in the night and to become an owl would be like breaking through a surface, the hole would then reveal the space as an unexpected matter.

A certain je-ne-sais-quoi of colors, shapes, materials, sounds, an invitation to search, grasp, melt, cross and transform.

In the conflict of sensations that are offered by night, we see the possibility of recomposing images issued from a melted, confused and multiple impression : the ones of a world that eludes us and impresses us.

The set, in a deceptive opacity, slips away and sometimes seems to be destroyed.

The bodies, the dance, have become owls. Reality becomes an elastic area, unlimited, which is deformed and transformed in the way of a second skin.

This night is an explosion, it dematerializes our fears and throws them away. In doing so, it dissolves them and allows us to enter a world from which everything seems to be born.

Because the night does not hide, it reveals...
